In a recent insightful discussion with BTTV’s Aastha Chopra, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda India, shed light on the brand's ambitious strategy to navigate the compact SUV segment. He detailed Skoda's precise approach to balancing market share and profitability, driven by aggressive expansion into Tier-II and Tier-III cities, aiming for over 350 customer touchpoints by year-end. For the new Kylaq, a crucial compact SUV, Skoda projects significant sales volumes in the next fiscal year, targeting an 8% market share in the segment and expecting to exceed 100,000 annual sales as early as 2025. Gupta emphasized long-term profitability as a core objective, while maintaining customer trust remains a vital short-term goal. He also spoke enthusiastically about the newly launched Kylaq as his favourite drive, highlighting its significance to Skoda's growth in India.
